David Ivor Trethewey - photos or stories

Hi,

I was hoping someone might be able to help with some photos of stories about David Ivor Trethewey. I am designing a commemorative plague for his grand daughter so would love to get any information possible (esp. photos although I'd need scanned copies emailed as we live in Australia)

Hi,

Do you know what Company he was in? I've asked my father who served in the West Indies at the same time as David Ivor Trethewey if he knew him but the name doesn't ring a bell. My Father was in B Coy, 1st BN Worcestershire Regiment from circa 1955 - 1962 (he joined as a boy soldier aged 16).

I've recently returned from a trip back to the UK (I live in Perth, WA) and scanned most of the pictures he has from his Army days whilst I was there (not many unfortunately) so if he was in the same Company or was in the West Indies for Princess Anne's visit in 1958 then he may be on some of the pictures. I've got group shots from the Royal Visit as well as a B Coy Group shot but that's from 1955 which sounds like it's too early from the information you have.

Would be happy to send the scans of the Royal Visit as well as links to a couple of grainy films on the Pathe website.
