Following on from my researches of a great uncle in this battalion and then regular battalions in France, can anyone shed light on the following.
BOUNTIES - he was paid a bounty when his 6 year enlistment was up - £5 given by Norton Barracks, but the rest was to follow - from where is not mentioned. What would have been the final amount? Presumably regulars would have been similarly compensated.
SUMMER TRAINING GROUNDS - Stacke gives some details, but I still do not know where they did the training in 1911
Also - they trained in Felixstow in 1913 - does anyone know where? Would it have been at Landgard Fort ?
Any ideas gratefully received!!
