Does anyone know anything about Hubert Malcom Griffiths born 1874, Captain in the Worcestershire Regiment, later Major in the 8th Worcester Regiment Territorial Force. I see that his medal card is in the TNA collection, but have not bought it yet. He was a distant cousin of mine. Many thanks, MLB

Thank you for that. I also saw that he was mentioned in a book, The Worcester Regiment in the Great War, but I do not have the book -does anyone have a copy?
Major Griffiths was a dental surgeon.

Hello MLB,
Hubert Griffiths was my paternal grandfather.
My brother and I have been researching his war record recently, since when my mother died I discovered a photograph of him visiting Belgium / France possibly on the great British Legion pilgrimage @1928.
We retraced his journey in May this year, and found his trenches on the Somme.
He Died in 1965 after surviving being gassed in the winter of 1916
