Worcestershire Regiment in India 1920

My grandfather was a signaller with the Worcestershire Regiment, continuing as a regular until 1923, and then with the reserves until 1931. I was able to access his army records from Glasgow and managed to research his life from 1915 when he enlisted, but am totally at a loss as to what he was doing until 1923.
I know he was in India with the 1st Battalion but where would he have been, and why were the Worcesters in India? I know there were various areas of unrest there at the time, but it would help me complete his life in the army if someone could help fill in the gaps.
Thanks

Is it the period 1915-23 you are seeking information on, or just 1923? If it is the longer period it would help to have service number and name to be able to of more help.

Here is the 1st Worcesters location when in India after WWI:
1919 India: Nasirabad (1919 to 1922)
1922 India: Lucknow
1923 India: Meerut (1923 to 1925)

According to his records he left for India from Dover in 1919 and returned I think in 1923, there is no date only ' Proceeded to Neolali ( Deolali ) for onward despatch to UK for discharge'
His name was John Henry Clarke and his army number was 5240357
I don't know whether this will be of any help but I am hopeful.
Thankyou Lars
