Hi Colin,
In May/June 1967 the 1st Battalion were at Lathbury Barracks, Gibraltar and were preparing for their next move to Tobruk.
'B' Company Commander was Major A. W. S. Hargrave
'B' Company Plqtoon Commanders were:
5 Platoon - Lieut. N. St. J. D. Ramsden
6 Platoon - 2nd Lieut. T. Chillman
7 Platoon - 2nd Lieut. I. W. B. Thomas
8 (Support) Platoon - Lieut. C. R. Evans
Hope this helps a little.

Hi Colin,
The 1st Battalion moved in to the new Lathbury Barracks, Gibraltar during April 1967. Th official opening ceremony took place on the 30th May 1967. The Guard of Honour was provided by H.Q. and 'B' Company, under the command of Major T. A. Batchelar.
As far as I know 'B' Company moved to Tobruk in July 1967. On the 6th October left Tobruk on the British Eagle Britainnia (at El Adem you were piped on to the plane by the Royal Ulster Rifles) to Gilbratar and the next day boarded again heading for Heathrow.
For more specific details of dates you will need to contact RHQ at Worcester (you will find their contact details on the home page of this website).
Which Platoon were you with?
Regards,
Louis
