I have already posted a query regarding my late father's service with the Worcestershire Regiment in India 1919 - 1926. I have since discovered that he was recalled from the reserve in 1927 to serve with members of the regiment who were attached to the 1st Battalion the Cameronians in Hong Kong.
This Worcestershire Detachment was led by a Capt. M K St. John Carpendale of the Cameronians. The fact that he was formerly a member of the Worcestershire Regiment may explain why this "Section A" of the Regiment was selected to serve with the Scots.
Does anyone else have an interest in this event. It would appear that the unrest in the south of China was soon settled and the detachment returned in December 1927.
