Regimental Archives

Postby Simon_Fielding » Fri Oct 08, 2010 4:15 pm

could fellow forum members please excuse my ignorance and let me know what additional information the regimental archives at Norton barracks can supply?

If I've checked to soldiers details on, The Commonwealth War Graves commission website, soldiers died in the great War, service papers on ancestry.com, medal index cards, and the local press:-

I'm ashamed to say that despite many years interest in the First World War, I'm still uncertain what the regimental archives could provide. I have an ongoing project to research a First World War Memorial, and I'm slightly nervous at having 40+ Worcestershire Regiment names to potentially cross reference! Oh well, if a work's worth doing etc etc!

Perhaps colleagues could clarify this for me
