Hello, I am looking for information about my great-great grandfather who I believe served in the 36th Regiment and was in Malta around 1818 when his daughter, my great grandmother, was christened there by an army chaplain. I am particularly interested in how or why he appeared to have his family with him at that time. Also, on the web site roll of honour a Thomas Evans, Corporal, no. 1358 is listed as killed in action on 21/12/1845 at Ferozeshah and I wonder if this is who I am enquiring about? My g-g grandmother's name was Mary Elinor nee Price and their daughter's name was Caroline.
