Hi Terry

Do you have your Grandfathers number?

I have found 2 entries for a H. Daltry but he may not be your man.

13th February 1915 edition Worcester Herald & Bromsgrove Messenger
Wounded
11951 Pte H. Daltry - Reporteded under date 6th December 1914

3rd April 1915 edition
Rejoined the 5th Battalion 30th March 1915
11951 Pte H. Daltry

Hope this helps.

Regards Allan

MIC suggests that H Daltrey 11951 was originally 2/Worcs then Royal Engineers....
Researching the 75 men of the Great War Memorial of St Anne's Church, Bewdley, Worcestershire .

Hi Terry,
Did you know that your grandfather's name is listed and on display at Worcester Cathedral?

Hi Terry,
This is a bit of a long shot but if HENRY JAMES DALTREY born CLAPTON 1885 , Mother Caroline and Brother Gilbert of 16 Malvern Rd. East Ham, Essex
is your Grandfather, then 4 pages of Militia service papers can be found on the pay for site FIND MY PAST.
He served with the 4/ESSEX REGT.from 21/2 1903 to 10/1/1905 before joining the Regular Army.
Regards,
