Anthony Wilkinson National Service

Postby Neil Wilkinson » Sun Sep 24, 2006 9:00 pm

I was wondering if any of you good men remember doing their national service with my Dad, Anthony Michael Wilkinson of Dudley, Worcs., who sadly passed away after a long illness on 27th August 2006.
He served from 1959 to 1961 in the RAMILLIES PLATOON.
To my lasting regret, I never really spoke to Dad about his years serving Queen and Country, and would love to hear off anyone who remembers serving with him.

Your father would have been at the Regimental Depot in traning
Rammilies platoon would have been his platoon name in training it was the custom to name the training platoons after a regimental battle honour . so it would help you more to get the information you require to give his later service details company ect
