Regimental Movements 1890's

Postby Trick » Tue Dec 25, 2012 3:22 am

My grandad Richard Charles Chantler, (I have several posts concerning him and his brother), had a very colourful time in the Worcesters! I have copies of his court martials etc. I would like to find out where these took place. I have one from 29th May 1887 but cannot read where the 'place' was. One from 4th January 1887, (maybe the same place). it looks like Sarakula. Another one from 1891 which looks like Boona, another from 1892 which is from Fort B----hurst? I cannot read the writing. My mother always claimed that he could speak Indian, which I always rubbished, but she may have been right! Would be nice to find out where he went before South Africa.
