Officer attached to the RAF or RAF regiment

Postby Zippy101 » Sat Feb 08, 2014 10:59 am

I was hoping someone could help me out regarding a question I have.

Could an Officer have been attached to the RAF or RAF Regiment during the 1950s or 1960s?
I know this happened (generally) during the Second World War.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Ho Oliver,

I believe in the 1950's and 1960's officers and non-commissioned officers from all arms could be attached for flying tours before returning to their parent Regiment or Corps.

You could confirm this with the MOD.
