Albert Harold Thornton (thornett) Egypt 1884
Posted: Wed Sep 02, 2020 4:58 pmAlbert Thornett 1865-1952 is my GG uncle. The report of his death shows he served in Egypt Sudan - the General Gordon rescue column of 1884. The report states he was a member of the Worcesters. (As he rejoined the regiment of his youth in 1914)I cannot find a record of the Worcesters being on the Nile in 1884 can anyone help
