I am researching the above in the war memorial park coventry aplogies i didn't pick this up earlier. Lane, Herbert. Private. 35097, 2nd/8th Battalion, Worcestshire Regiment missing, presumed killed, St.Quentin age 19 on the 21st March 1918. According to CWGC
He was the Son of Arthur Lane, of 146, Bolingbroke Road, Coventry. Born 25th March 1900 at Coventry; resided at 146 Bolingbroke Road; Miner; Enlisted Coventry in 1916; Remembered Pozieres Memorial
This means he died before his 18th birthday and enlisted when he was 15 or 16. he looks amazingly young in his photo in uniform!!! Does this make him one of the youngest Worcestershire regiment to die in the Great War.
