POSTED ON BEHALF OF SHELLDRAKE.

Evening Everyone,
I recently visited the WW1 Hebuterne Military Cemetery, in the Pas de Calais, primarily to photograph the grave of my relative; 3976 PTE Joseph JEAVONS, 1-7th Bn Worcestershire Regiment. Whilst there I also took the opportunity to digitally photograph the graves of the other Worcestershire Regiment lads I found there. My intention is to get the images to Louis SCULLY to post onto the site.
The cemetery is a quiet, beautiful and secluded spot, well laid out and immaculately maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Most of the Worcestershire lads lie together in 2 neat rows. I have captured images of the following graves (date of death in brackets);

2LT M B S SPENCER (04.08.1915)

PTE J HANMBLY (21.08.1915)
2LT H S WILSON (14.09.1915)
PTE J S HERMAN (17.09.1915)
CPL R CATER (21.09.1915)
PTE A JENKINS (01.10.1915)
PTE F WALTERS (06.10.1915)
PTE W MOSELEY (09.12.1915)
PTE A ENNIS (12.12.1915)
PTE C DAINTY (06.01.1916)
PTE F C NEWMAN (30.01.1916)
2LT J F READING(29.04.1916)
LT G J L SLATER (30.04.1916)
PTE J JEAVONS(01.05.1916)
PTE K F HOMES (18.05.1916)
PTE J SMITH (29.05.1916)
LCPL H G W HUGHES (30.05.1916)
SGT G GROVE (30.05.1916)

So proud they all stood FIRM and now rest together.

P.S. Just to make it clear to everyone, Shelldrake (Richard) got fed up with his posting getting rejected and asked me to post on his behalf. Mike

He had a brother John who as Pte 1630 1/7th Bn Worcs Reg was K IA on 15th August 1916 and is buried in Puchevillers British Cemetery I:E:75. Kevin,

You've clearly a wealth of information on some of the Worcestershire lads laid to rest in Hebuterne - do you have anything on my relative 3976 PTE Joseph JEAVONS from 1st/7th Bn?

Louis,
I think I have some of their images on file but I don't have a scanner at the moment, I will transmit to you when I have one refitted.

Shelldrake
Sorry nothing on Joseph JEAVONS, he's a Dudley man and I am concentrating on the Kidderminster men
