Frank Johnson - which Bn?

Postby DCLI » Tue Nov 11, 2008 3:58 pm

Dear All

I am trying to establish which Bn my great uncle was in, when he enlisted on September 2nd 1914.

He was Private 17969 Frank Edward Johnson, Worcestershire Regiment.

He later transferred to the 52nd Battalion MGC. New number 19592

Died F.F 02.09.1918

Son of Mrs Mary Johnson of Shenstone View, 14, Melbourne Road, Halesowen, Birmingham

I would also love to get hold of his medals, which I believe are or were in the Birmingham area quite recently.

Regards
In rememberance of my Great Uncle, Frank E Johnson, of Halesowen, the Worcesters and MGC, who never came back from France in 1918.
