information on Ernest Pendered KIA 1918,Thank you, Len.

His service number in the Oxford and Bucks Reg. is 20058.
CWGC show a Ernest Pendered served Worcs Reg. Service 23738. Died India 1918 Oxford and Bucks Reg 20058, what was his D.O.B, please.

Hello Len,

His medal card has him listed as George Pendered 20058 Ox & Bucks.

But the CWGC has him as Ernest.

1901 census shows an Ernest Edward Pendred, born 1885 Bedfordshire
or
a George Pendred, born 1892, Birmingham.

I'm inclined to think his real name was George, but he decided to be know as Ernest, for what ever reason.
