Hi,
I am not sure but i think my Ancestor William Henry Bennett born abt
1898 in Twyning,Gloucestershire was in the Worcester Regiment.
He was killed in WWI,there is a memorial in Twyning with his name on it.
There are 2 William Henry Bennett`s on cwgc.org but i don`t know
if one of them is my William.
His parents were Grantley and Elizabeth Bennett.
If anyone could help me find the right one i would be very grateful.
Regards
Carol

No he wouldn't have had to have been born there, just living there.
and if his family, say wife, possibly kids, were still living in the village, then they would want the memorial to be close to them.

Have you checked the 1911 census? It may determine which one you are looking at.

Cheers
John.
