Hi All

The entry for my Great Uncle in the National Roll of the Great War states that after recovering from his wounds received at Gallipoli, he spent 6 months as an Instructor at Devonport before joining the 3rd Battalion. Does anyone have any information about the training camp at Devonport?

Hi Allan,
Click on the Battalion drop down at the top of the home page. Click on 6th Bn.. You will see at the outbreak of war the 6th Bn. Worcestershire Regiment moved to their allotted war station, Raglan Barracks. It does not say it but Raglan Barracks is actually in Devonport not Plymouth. There they trained many new recruits and got wounded men back up to speed. You will see a foto of the place if you google it and lots of details.
Best Regards Mike
