F A C Howells, Lt in 5th Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment,

I am research the Intelligence war in Ireland in 1919 and 1920. A British soldier called B F Molloy was killed on a Dublin street on 24 March 1920.

Questions were asked in parliament the following week as whether Molloy was his true name (an odd thing to do in parliament). I believe that it was not Molloy, and was probably one of 3 British officers buried in CWGC graves that day.

Lt Francis Austin Chiivers Howells is the man most likely

Can anyone tell me anything about him. CWGC say buried Lydney St Mary Churchyard, I have his MIC but that gives little away. A Private in Wilts commissioned in Worcs. He was born in 1896 in Chepstow Reg Dist

However I cannot find him in London Gazette. And MIC shows him as full Lt, so botth commission and promotion are not there (could be OCR problem).

Can anyone give me anything on F A V Howells?
