I am a trainee teacher currently working on a scheme of work which asks the question 'How did WW1 affect the lives of people from Worcester?' I have read you website with great interest, as it includes much information relevant to my topic.
I am writing to enquire whether it would be possible to adapt information from this website, especially about the path of individual service men, to use in my project. I would like to use the name and photograph of a person as a starting point to consider their more general experiences, such as the case of William Leefe Robinson and Edgar Myles.
Secondly, I understand that elements of the Worcestershire regiment fought in Turkey and Africa in addition to the fighting on the western front. I would like to give the children an impression of this, the numbers of troops and casualties involved and of the differences in fighting conditions. Do you have any diary accounts that might give the children an impression of conditions in these areas, or a map or list of troops involved? Any helf you can offer would be gratefully appreciated.
Thankyou for your time,
Lizzie Thorpe
