5061 Private Frederick HUSSEY,
1/7th Worcs. Regt
I am currently researching the men on our local War Memorial. One of these men is Frederick Hussey. I believe that Frederick was born and raised in this village. By WW1 Frederick would have been in his thirties. I am curious as to why he would have been in the Worcs. Regt. I think he enlisted in Axminster in Devon.
Anybody know or might have any suggestions on this subject I would be very grateful.
Thanking you in anticipation.

Hi ?

I have found a reference in the 21st December 1916 edition of the Worcester Herald of:-

5061 Pte F. Hussey – Axminster - Died of Wounds

If you check on Ancestry you may be lucky and find his Attestation papers which will show his home address and other important information.
