10th Battalion 18 June 1918

Postby graeme clarke » Wed Mar 16, 2011 2:05 pm

Hi,

Just found this Forum and hoping someone can help me.

Does anyone have the War Diary for the 10th Battalion ?

If so I would be grateful if someone could post for the period about Tuesday 18 June 1918, and a few days before.

Many thanks,

Graeme

Hi,
I am down at the National Archives in about 10 days time - unless anyone else responds I'll gladly look up the War Diary for you.

I have searched this war diary at The National Archives. Unfortunately the part after February 1918 is missing. It doesn't appear to have been found during the process to digitise the war diaries.

I don't know whether the regimental museum has a complete copy. However in 2008, when I was researching my uncle who was killed at the end of May 1918, the Regimental archivist copied some details from "The Worcestershire Regiment in the Great War" By Capt H. FitzM Stacke, which was originally published in 1928. Facsimile copies have since been produced - and you could probably borrow a copy through a library.
