Hi John.

War graves register has George Symmonds, died 28 April 1917 (aged 37). 1st/7th Bn Worcestershire Regiment - no. 203775.

Husband of Emily. Address being Pounds Bridge, Cradley, Malvern, Worcs.

Cemetery - STE. MARIE CEMETERY, LE HAVRE
Grave reference - Div. 62. I. A. 1.

1st/7th would have been involved at Gillemont Farm but on the 28 April they had moved back to billets at Hamel which might indicate that George was wounded in an earlier skirmish but died on 28th?

1911 census has George (aged 29) married to Emily with Florance and Mary (both aged 7), Gertrude aged 5, and George aged 3.

Andy.
