Firstly let me say how great your site is. It is a goldmine of information, well done.

I am researching my maternal grandfather: William Charles Rudman
Regimental Number 16125
Enlisted: 8 September 1914
Discharged 21 May 1919
Unit 11th Battalion Royal Worcs

I am interested in any further information you may have about his service. I have a copy of his Medal Card which shows that he recieved the Victory and British Medals but they were returned. However there is also a Star inscribed with his service number but with his name spelt incorrectly as "Rodman." Why is this medal not on the medal card and can I find out what happened to the other two medals?

I would be grateful for any information you may have.
