I have the full records for this soldier of the 2nd Battalion until his discharge in 1913 - he was a colour sergeant when he was discharged and his number was 4316. He had joined 6 May 1895.

What I don't know is what happened in his service in the First World War. His new number was 25940 and on his medal card his rank is given as WO2. He received the British and Victory medals so presumably he was not mobilised before 1915 or he would have had the Star as well.

Does anyone know where he might have served? Can anyone throw light on the number he has which might reveal when he rejoined? Troop movements?

Thank you.
