Worcestershire Regiment

My great great uncle L/C Frank Green (9546) died in Mesopotamia in April 1917 (Friday 13th April!) It appears he drowned in the river but not sure what he was doing. I have found his records which are just about legible but no real answer to the circumstances of his death.
Any help appreciated.
