Worcestershire Regiment

Hi, all, just found my great uncles, entry in the WAR GRAVES COMMISSION, Private21673, died 28.11.16 st sever cem Rouen, and would like to find out more about his life at war and circumstaces of his death, where do i start ?.

Private William Henry Court of the 4th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment died of wounds on the 28th November 1916. That same day two other soldiers of the 4th Battalion also died of wounds, they were Priavte Leonard Neal (15367) and Private Harry Pateman (19253). The 4th Battalion were in the front line from 17th to the 22nd and also from the 27th to the 30th November 1916. Regimental history shows that during this period the casualties of the 4th Battalion were just 3 men all wounded so it is likely that these are the 3 that died shortly afterwards. At the time the men were in front line trenches named "Fall", "Autumn" and "Winter". These trenches were about 1000 yards South West of the village of Le Transloy (also a 1000 yards North East from the village of Lesboeufs).
