I have now received from a cousin some correspondence sent to Joseph George's wife. Firstly, confirmation that he was wounded at Gallipoli (severe wound to the arm) and that he was sent to hospital in Exeter before rejoining the Regiment. Also the document notifying her of death and the correspondence regarding the compensation following his death and the subsequent payments to be made. I will e-mail these to you.
