2nd Battalion Reinforcements 1914

Postby peter » Mon Jan 29, 2007 2:22 pm

According to Stacke the 2nd Battalion Worcesters received 4 reinforcements of men between 5th September 1914 when about 90 men under Captain J.P.L. Stoney were drafted in and October 5th 1914 when 100 men under 2/Liet. W. Smyth-Osbourne arrived. The 3rd draft arrived on 21st September 1914 with 93 men under 2/Lieut. E.V.C. Preedy. On the 8th October an additional 7 officers arrived. Can anyone supply details for the 2nd draft of men that arrived between the 5th September and 21st September if Sacke's account is correct. Did any other reinforcements of men arrive before the end of october 1914?

Regards
