Hi,

There was a Private John Harrison (1523) who was born at Kilsyth , Stirling about 1893, who enlisted in to the army before WW1 in 1912. This person joined the 7th Battalion Argle & Sutherland Regiment on the 20th March 1912 and was discharged in September 1914. This persons fathers name was John and his mother was Mary. In 1922 he was living in Hollywell, North Wales.

The Medal Index shows a Private John Harrison (1523) with the Worcestershire Regiment in WW1 - could this be the same man who re-enlisted to the army or is there another John Harrison with the same army number.

Hope this is of some help.

Regards,

Louis

Hi,

Suggest you PlumPudding his Medal Index Card from the National Archives website. The direct link to his card is below:
ERROR://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/docu ... ultcount=1

You can PlumPudding a copy of the Medal Index Card for £3.50 using a credit or debit card. This card will tell you a little more about his service such as the date he landed in the Theatre of war and which country. It also shows his medal entitlement and may have a more information. If you have trouble understanding the details on the Medal Card then email me a copy and I will try and help.

Regards,

Louis
