Hi Rick,
In the first week of April 1917 the 10th Battalion moved back from a reserve camp by Locre to Acquin for training. The Battalion remained at Acquin until the 17th April 1917.
The movements of the 10th Battalion in April 1917 are as follows:
1st April - Locre to Caestre
2nd April to Hazebrouck
3rd April to Arques
4th April to Acquin
17th April Acquin to Arques
18th April to Hazebrouck
19th April to Locre - where the 10th Battalion remained until the end of May 1917.
Pte Albert Gittins (12224) was the only person to die on the 13th April 1917. The only other death of the 10th Battalion in April 1917 was a Private Joseph Charles Jelley (30710) who died on the 19th April 1917. It is most likely that both these men died of illness.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Louis
