Hi Rick,
Private Arthur Rogers (12785) embarked with the 2nd Battalion Worcestershire Regiment for France on the 12th August 1914 and was killed in action on the 3rd November 1916. As the Battle of Gheulvelt was on the 31st October 1914, it is likely he was present. However, there is a small possiblity he may have been wounded before and then returned back to action later.
As he was a Worcester man (born at Bredon, Worcester) I think the next step would be to check the newspaper archives in Worcester (check months - August 1914 through to March 1915, as reports of wounded can appear in the press many months later) to see if there is any mention of him been wounded. If there are no references to him listed as wounded then you can assume he was at Gheluvelt.
Allan, who is one of our Forum member (user name Allanp) in the past has checked local Worcester newspapers for other enquires. So he may be able to help.
Regards,
Louis
