I am trying to find my grandfathers army number, he joined this regiment and served in burma in the second world war
does the regiment hold this information or do I need to apply to glasgow?
can anyone help?

You did not mention your fathers full name or his army rank?

Regimental Archives at Norton Barracks, Worcester may be able to help. Their contact details are on the home page of this website.

There is also a list of some names and numbers on this website in the Burma Campaign section for the 7th Battalion - you will find a link to the Burma section on the home page of this website.
There is a Private A. Richards on this list with the army number 4542018 (he served with D Company of the 7th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment.
