I was after any information anyone might have regards my Father. He served in either the 7th or 8th Battalions. He was at Dunkirk and following this, was moved to the Newcastle area to help with bomb damage, due to his pre war building experience. This is all I know, so any information about him would be great.

His middle name was Crompton if that helps?

Thanks

Clive

Sorry the only other member of my family in that generation that I know of, was my uncle 'Dinks' who was in the Gunners.

Their father (my Grandfather) Stanley came from Bolton and moved to Malvern after WW1. They were his only sons.

My grandad had 2 or 3 brothers but they moved to USA in the 20's or were still in the Bolton area, in which case any of their sons would have joined regiments from that area.
