Sgt Jules Vlummer KIA at ELST

Postby dai_jimpkins » Fri Nov 11, 2011 1:14 pm

Hi

I am looking to find out some more about the service of my 1st Cousin Once removed SGT Jules Vlummer who served with 1st Batallion.
I have his medals and the telegram sent to his mother informing her of his death. I would like to find out if possible details of the action that he was involved in when he was wounded "I believe he died of wounds".
Also if there are any details of his service I would also be interested.

thanks

Dave

Hi Dave,

Further to your request in the forum I have emailed you a copy (in PDF format) of a 52 page booklet (file size about 10 MBytes) I produced about the 1st Battalion Worcestershire Regiment at Elst. Hope this helps.

I would be interested in having a copy of the telegram if you can email it to me.

Louis

Thanks for the booklet. Very interesting.

I will dig out the telegram and scan you a copy. It is currently at the back of my understairs cupboard
