I am working on a project with Professor John Buckley at Wolverhampton University on the British Army in NW Europe in 1944/45. We are keen to contact members of the 1st battalion who served in any capacity with 43rd Wessex Division during this time. if someone could e mail me I will gladly send them more information from myself and Professor Buckley in order for it to be sent to any veteran who would like to help us with the project.

Hi Matthew,

My father served with the 1st Battalion in NW Europe in 1944/45 and over the years I have researched and this period of the 1st Battalion in some depth. I have produced a number of booklets covering this period which include first hand accounts and unpublished private photos in my collection. As I have attended the 1st Battalion N.W. Europe reunion over the last 10 years I have many contacts with veterans.

I will contact you by email with regards your request for help.

Regards,

Louis (webmaster)
