Can any one assist?

We have in our church yard at St. Philip & St. James, Whittington Worcestershire, just one WW2 memorial headstone of Private F.J. Draper No 5259030 who died on 23 April 1946 aged 39. Presumably of war injuries, can anyone tell me anything more about this chap as I am working on a project for all the other WW1 MEMORIALS :?:

All I can find is that he was the son of Harry and Rose Draper and husband of Edith Draper of Swineshead Lakes. From CWG site. David

Just looking at POW's and I notice he's listed in 1st Battalion, captured in 1942, in POW camp 4F, with POW no. 262891. David

David,
I do have the details of his parents and he wife Edith they had son John Henry died in 1935 just 3 weeks old.
Very interested to see he was a POW in1942, as you see from my text he died in 1946 age 39 , I would like to find out what caused this ?
We have someone who comes and puts flowers on his grave, but can't trace this person who might have all the answers?

Peter

Sorry I can not help any further, other than the obvious, like leave a note by the flowers asking them to make contact or contact the Regimental Archives, details listed on the home page of the webpage, under General.
