Hi,
I have just aquired a General Service Medal Clasp Palestine to 5251166 PTE. J. DAVIES, who is listed as POW at Tobruk and later in Stalag IVA near Dresden. POW number 259362.

In the vendors description is the information that he was discharged on 23 January 1945 under KR 390 xvi (no longer fit for military service), which to me looks like he was repatriated early for some reason.

Would there be any information on this in the archives do you think?
