Hello, This is my first time on the forum and hope this may be of interest to people like myself with ancestors KIA at slingersfontein 12-2-1900.
I found this website in South Africa with pictures of the memorial to those killed at the battle of Worcester hill.
www.thebarracks.co.za/battleofworcesterhill.htm
My Great Uncle L/cpl James Allen 3656 was one of those killed that day and is listed on the memorial.
It is very interesting to read the messages on the forum of the other people from all over the world that have ancestors also listed on the memorial.
I think the men named on that memorial would be amazed to think that over one hundred years later their relatives would be discussing things about them, as much as they would have done between their selves.
This is an excellent website and I will be doing more research into my Grand Father, who served in the Boer War and WW 1 also in the Worcesters and lived to old age.
I hope this is of interest,
Martin
