Pte Charles Pope 067238 4th Battalion

I am researching my grandfather Charles Percy Butler Pope b1887 Priddy, Somerset.
I have managed to establish that he served with the 4th Worcesters - possibly in India, and with the 9th Gloucesters during WW1 (no. 050773).
His No. is 067238, but other than his medal card, I haven't managed to find any information on him - he could have used the name Percy.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be greatful.
