Enters Gallipoli 29 8 15 Service no 21039

Postby Simon_Fielding » Sat Jan 21, 2012 3:31 pm

Hi there

Pte Thomas Griffin initially served in the Dardanelles but died with the 3rd Worcs of wounds received in action in October 1916. Would he have been with the 4th Bn or the 9th??

Cheers

Simon

Hi Simon,
If all else fails and you get no futher joy with your request ,I believe he has an entry in the KIDDERMINSTER SHUTTLE
12/11/1916 PAGE 7 and 25/11/1916 PAGE 7.A long shot but it may provide a clue to his battalion movements.
Regards,
corona.

Thanks corona - they're good entries aren't they? Bit evasive on Bn though - I suspect 9th but not sure...
