CPL Thomas Steventon 8076

Postby steventons » Tue Jul 29, 2014 5:59 pm

Hi all,

I'm trying to determine if a Thomas Steventon (Regimental number 8076) is in fact my great grandfather, I hope this forum can help determine that or point me in the right direction of how I can establish if this is him or not!

How do I find out more information of the above individual so that I can compare with my relative's details? Can someone help me on this one?

Kindest Regards and many thanks in advance!

The medal card for 8076 Steventon exists entitling him to the 15 Star plus Victory & War Medals.

There's also a Thomas Steventon of the Worcestershire Yeomany with NoK being Edwin George Steventon his father. The army record exists for this Thomas Steventon.

What relative names dates of birth or address locations do you have?

Hi smitd09, many thanks for your time and reply!

My Thomas Steventon was born 18th January 1882 in Oldbury, Worcestershire and died on 15th April 1955 also in Oldbury. His parents were Samuel Steventon (1854 - 1900) and Emma Jane Rollings (1856 - 1905). He was married to Lizzie Homer on 4th August 1907. The 1911 census has him living at 43 Tabernacle Street in Oldbury with his wife Lizzie, and 2 children that they had at that time (Maud and Allan).

Given the above I don't believe this is him, but interesting all the same!

I'm trying to determine if the Thomas Steventon in the Medal Rolls is the same as my Thomas Steventon. But I don't know how to go about that.

Many thanks in advance for all and any help!
