Grandads medals

Postby Andrew McLaren » Wed May 13, 2009 12:57 pm

Could anyone advise me on how to trace my late Grandfathers medal entitlement. I remember him having some but they went over to Austrailia with my uncle after Grandads funeral back in the 70s. I would like to know how he was "decorated" so I can obtain copy replacements. My Grandad was C.Q.M.S Thomas Griffin (52437169) 2nd Battalion A and C Company 1920-46.....thanks ....

Hello Andrew.

If you go to the veterans services. They will be able to supply you with his service records and from there you will be able to ascertain which medals he was entitled to.

Obviously there is a fee and you need to have proof of Kinship.

Replace the * with forward slash
