DCM to Sergeant J Green, Boer war extant

Just saw this Boer war DCM on a dealers site:

Sergeant J. Green, Worcestershire Regiment. Boer War DCM Winner
Distinguished Conduct Medal, VR, (Cpl J.E. GREEN, 2nd WORCESTER REGt)
Queens South Africa Medal, three clasps, Cape Colony, Transvaal and Wittebergen (4469 SERJT W. GREEN, WORCESTER REGt)
Kings South Africa Medal, two clasps, South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902 (4469 SERJT J. GREEN, WORCESTER REGt)

Note change in initials on different medals.

Good very fine

DCM, London Gazette 19th April 1901. For services at Bloemfontein. The Worcester Regiment won 21 DCM's during the Boer War, 9 of them for the 2nd Battalion.

any information on where sgt green was from?

just out of interest of course!, if i had to buy i would have to sell me soul
again! :(

I see this medal group is offered for sale from Gordon's Medals Ltd. (Item Ref. Code 11809) for the grand some of £3995.

Unfortunately not Steve, it's safe from me bar a lucky lottery ticket. Don't know where he was from, but it's a nice group.
