Pte L Ayves - WW1 Victory Medal - Return to family

Postby Duncan Spencer » Sat Jan 26, 2008 7:22 pm

I have acquired a WW1 victory medal awarded to Pte Lawrence Ayves 34775 Worcestershire Regiment (the only other information I have is the medal roll entry, L/102B page 191). I would like to hear from anyone who may be able to advise me how to establish whether he has any surviving relatives so that I could return the medal to the family. It's in reasonable condition and includes the ribbon. Thanks

Hi!
I guess this is a bit late, but I believe the name should be Ayres as I have just come into procession of the discharge papers for Private Lawrence Ayres with same regiment number. He was my husband's grandfather.
