Ennis Brothers ?

Postby Jamie » Sat Jan 17, 2009 11:37 pm

Hi

Does anyone know anything about the 4 soldiers named Ennis. All shown KIA in different years. My great grandmother (maiden name Ennis) apparently had 4 brothers killed. I am assuming they are the 4 men named Ennis in the Role of Honour.

Can anyone shed any light on these men as so far i've been unable to link them to one another.

Thanks Jamie
Jamie

The 1901 census shows that Samson, Bert (albert) and John are brothers, sons of Samson and Alice. sister named Aline. Have not found any link to Harold as a brother.

All the best,
Lars

from memory one of the ennis brothers was killed with the south staffs, the other three with the worcesters, in the 01 census the family is split between the parents and the grandparents. i think the grandparents lived in the bull ring in dudley
