This man is possibly commemorated on my local War Memorial. Can anyone tell me more about him? I cannot find his papers on Ancestry.

Does he have any connection to Gornal?

Regards,

John

I've only got Ancestry, Corona: could you tell me what his address is, please?

I have two War Memorials in Gornal: the St Peters, Upper Gornal has an Arthur Hale, whereas the Lower Gornal Memorial has an A Hale. One (or both - or neither, I suppose!) might be the man from the 3rd Worcs: another possibility is Sapper 313296 A Hale, whose details on SDGW make him likely too.

Regards,

John

Sir, you are a Gentleman!

As his life spanned both Upper and Lower Gornal, I am sure he is the A Hale/Arthur Hale recorded on all 3 Memorials in this blessed Shangri-La that is Gornal.

Much obliged.
