Sergeant Bertram SALT, D.C.M. (201174), 10th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment
Died of wounds on the 21st March 1918 (age 26)
He had just returned to France after a fortnight's leave when He was wounded by a shell.
He had previously been awarded the D.C.M. for his actions on the 24th October 1917, whilst serving with the 2/7th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment. His wife Ellen Salt was presented with the D.C.M. at Leicester on the 31st July 1918 by General Sir John Maxwell.
Bertram Salt had married Ellen Allen at Dudley in 1916 and they lived at Dudley Wood Road, Cradley Heath.
