Lieut.-Colonel Thomas Arthur William BOLLAND (22549)
Commanded the 7th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment from January 1947 to February 1947.
 
Thomas Arthur William Bolland was born on the 10th February 1901.

He was commissioned into the Yorkshire & Lancashire Regiment, and made a Lieutenant on the 16th July 1922.

1st July 1931 he was seconded for service under the colonial office. 1st June 1932 he granted temporary rank of Captain whilst employed with the R.W.A.F.F. (Royal West African Frontier Force).

He was seconded to serve with the East Yorkshire Regiment and on the 25th July 1935 promoted to substantive rank of Captain and remains seconded to the East Yorkshire Regiment.

On the 23rd February 1936 restored to establishment with the East Yorkshire Regiment.

On the 17th May 1937 he transferred from the East Yorkshire Regiment to the Royal Irish Fusliers.

Promoted to Major on the 1st August 1938.

He commanded the 1st Battalion The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers from September 1945 to February 1948.

He briefly commanded the 7th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment from January to February 1947.

He retired from the army on the 14th January 1914 and was granted the honorary rank of Lieut.-Colonel.

His wife Lorie Irving Bolland died 17th January 1986.
